Dr. Cathleen Mann, a Colorado native, has earned a doctorate in psychology and has been a licensed counselor for 18 years. Dr. Mann has done clinical and forensic work, and provided consultations for 26 years in mental health. She has evaluated hundreds of individuals and families, and has been court-appointed to assess families, children, and individuals with mental illness. She has also prepared numerous investigative reports for the courts and testified in many child custody cases, having been court-qualified as an expert in 12 states. She has also conducted state-mandated evaluations for social security disability and the vocational rehabilitation process. Dr. Mann has an intimate knowledge of the mental health assessment and treatment process and how that diagnostic process is inherently flawed. She is also an authority on how the media and others often have poorly informed ideas about the role of counseling, evaluation, and outcomes of mental health issues.
